Biography

Dr Adejoke Ige-Olaobaju obtained her PhD in Work and Employment Relations from the university of Leeds, United Kingdom (UK). She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Learning and Teaching within the Human Resource Management & Organisational Behaviour subject group at the University of Northampton. She is a Module leader, Personal Academic Tutor and Dissertation supervisor on Postgraduate (PG) and Undergraduate (UG) programmes at the university. Ade is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. She is also an Academic Member, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Member, British University Industrial Relations Association and Member, British Academy of Management. Ade presented a guest lecture on the topic: Revitalizing Talent Management: The way Forward at Kyrgyz Economic University, Kyrgyzstan in 2021. She provided academic consultancy support during the development of HRMI (UG) programme for one of the universities of Northampton partners outside the UK.  

Some of the modules taught by Ade at UG, PG and Apprenticeship levels include-Recruitment and Selection, Performance Management, Specialist Project in Human Resource Management, Resourcing and Talent Management, Business environment and strategy, Applied Human Resource Management Project, People Resourcing and Development, Future-focused organisation, skills for MBA study, responsible and ethical leadership to mention a few. Ade supervises students’ dissertation at UG and PG levels. She is an Academic Integrity Officer at the Faculty of Business and Law. 

 

Ade supervises Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) students and has been examining DBA student’s internal transfer examination since 2021. She has recently been appointed as Internal Examiner for DBA final viva examination in 2023. Ade has presented papers at international conferences and published in international academic journals. Ade is currently conducting a longitudinal study exploring the experiences of Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) students in Higher education.
