Biography

Prior to joining accounting and finance department, Modawi was macroeconomics teacher at University College of London UCL and Finance teacher at Swansea University. He also, worked in both United Kingdom public and private sector. He worked at HSBC Bank as account reviewer, at HSBC Global Standard Department where he reviewed high risk customers’ accounts including parliamentarians and government officials who hold accounts at HSBC Bank. He also worked at Lloyds Banking Group as share dealing administrator.

Research Interests

CEOs incentives, corporate governance, corporate Finance, behavioural Finance, Fintech, Asset Pricing, big data, Finance act-taxation, direct and indirect tax, tax avoidance and evasion.
