Understanding Responsibility for Risk

Risk in event management can be a complex and challenging area both in terms of real-life practice and learning and teaching. This project brings risk to life in a simulated Event Control experience for our BA(Hons) Events Management students, based on a real event, leading to declaration of a major incident. At this point, the BA(Hons) Criminal and Corporate Investigations students begin a simulated Major Investigation, focusing on what happened in the Event Control simulation. This gives both cohorts of students an immersive and relevant experience to apply their skills and knowledge to, deepening their understanding and awareness of the complexities of risk in practice.
